They are always being improved based upon lessons learned and suggestions from our customers, consignors and workers.  If you are a new consignor please contact us if you have questions or if something is not clear.  It is much easier than it sounds and we are glad to be of service.

General

Everyone is concerned with keeping their children safe. We at Recycled Kids do our best to stay informed and educated on safety news, recalls and government regulations relating to merchandise available at our sales.

Please be sure you review our Equipment Specific Guidelines for detailed information on what we accept at our sale. Please also see the links below from the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission relating to child product safety and recalls. It is against the law to sell merchandise that has been recalled.

Cribs

Beginning June 28, 2011, all cribs manufactured and sold (including resale) must comply with new and improved federal safety standards. The new rules, which apply to full-size and non-full-size cribs, prohibit the manufacture or sale of traditional drop-side rail cribs, strengthen crib slats and mattress supports, improve the quality of hardware and require more rigorous testing.

The details of the rule are available on CPSC’s web site. Although some cribs manufactured prior to this date may meet the new standards, we will only be accepting cribs manufactured on or after June 28th, 2011.
